Anyone know how to turn this bloody thing off tried every way people have said going into regedit typing in commands everything, the only thing that's I have found is holding down shift while retstarting and going into advanced troubleshooting but that only works while my PC is on as soon as I turn it off I have to do the process again.

Go into 'Settings,' select 'Update & Security'
Go to 'Windows Security,' Select 'Virus & threat protection'
In the sidebar, select 'Virus & threat protection'
Click on 'Virus & threat protection settings'
Under 'Real-time protection' click the switch so it says 'Off'
Hope this works.

When I click Virus and threat protection I get a message saying Your IT administrator has limited access to some areas of this app, and the item you tried to access is nog available. Contact IT help desk for more information

Install a third-party virus scanner and it will replace windows defender. But that’s kind of foolish because you’re just trading one for the other and windows defender works just fine

AFAIK you can't turn defender off unless you have another AV product. Malwarebytes likely isn't seen as good enough yet.

If you turn it off, it will turn itself back on again unless you replace it.

Defender is better than nothing, I guess. There are better choices

maybe you have Controlled folder access turned on? look in defender settings->Ransomware protection, turn that off--especially if you also use Malwarebytes
