Windows delayed writing failed

I have a seagate 500GB external hard drive. when I am trying to copy some videos from my desktop the error showing as "Windows-delayed write failed.". can any one help me out?

You have a problem with either the external drive or with the connection to it that has caused the drive to become unavailable to the operating system. Make sure the cable is firmly seated on both ends, and if that doesn't work then try a different cable.
