hello guys ! first of all sorry for my English.

Anyway I just got this error message from Windows 7 saying
24qk28n.jpg
so when I rebooted my PC I got this error
2cxdmab.jpg

everything was fine awhile ago when I opened my PC around 3 hours ago then I only started getting this error on windows 7 after I auto update my video card driver (it did prompt me to update.) and it also installed this software called AMD Gaming Evolved.

So I'm not sure if its pure coincidence or my drive is really failing. Anyway I'm already backing up my files thou. Question is is my drive still repairable or shall I say can it still be saved or do I really need to replace it? I plan to format it after I finished backing up my files thou.

Also its been awhile since I've done some fixing on my PC... so I'm really not that tech wise anymore.

Solution
Evidently there are bad sectors on that HDD, and since the error keeps appearing after running chkdsk it seems those are sectors beyond possibility of being repaired.

One last chance to salvage that HDD is to format it again (low level format not the fast one), the low level format will mark the bad sectors so that they are not accessed anymore, your HDD will have a slightly lower final capacity than it has now but this should enable you to keep using it.

Beware that you need to format all of it's partitions so you'll need to backup all data from it and after formatting it you'll have to make a fresh windows installation.

For low level format use some tool like HDDGuru, Hiren's Boot or similar.

yes I'm already saving/transferring my files to another drive.

how do i run diagnose or fix? is that the my computer>right click drive> then tools ? and run error checking?

simply type in the start menu search option "cmd" once it appears right click on it and run it with admin rights.

Once open type chkdsk c: /r and then press "y" when it asks you if you want it to be run after restarting the pc. (at least for the OS partition C: it will be necessary to reboot).

ok thanks

so I'm done with the chkdsk but I'm still getting the
3rd Slave Hard Disk: SMART Status BAD, Backup and Replace.
Press F1 to Continue

everytime I boot my PC.

here is the screenshot of the chkdsk.

and it seems that my drive can no longer be detected by windows.
