Today I turned on my computer without any unusual occurrences. I logged into Windows, and I am greeted with a little notification that asks if I want to fix disk errors. I have time to kill, so I say what the hell and go for it. It reboots, windows checks the disk upon startup, and it says "Repairing disk errors. This might take over an hour to complete." I thought that was a little on the extreme side, so I prepare for about a 20 minute wait. That was 8 hours ago. I've read in other forums that for some people it could take up to 3 days, but those people have all said that their hard drive LED was solid. Mine is blinking once every one second, precisely. I've never seen it do this, and this computer was built new less than a year ago. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to proceed? Is my computer bricked?

Not to my knowledge. Some people have suggested F8 or any key to skip it, but it gives no such option and neither work. I've tried refreshing my computer from the install disk, but it said there was an error and couldn't refresh.
