Windows DVD player flickering.

Yea, pretty much just the title.
Off and on flickering when I'm watching movies via my DVD drive.

i7-6700k
r9 280x
16GB

Only happens during windows DVD player. Anyone know of any working, trusted, and free DVD playing software that works with windows 10? Please and thank you.

It`s probably flickering on you because you don`t have the right video codec installed for windows dvd player.
You would need to search or look for a video codec pack for windows dvd player.
Also check to see if hardware video decoding is enabled.

Depending on what graphics card you are using if Nvidia or ATI hardware video decoding can be enabled in the provided software suite for each card.

Already had VLC installed... didn't even think to try that, thanks. VLC worked like a charm with zero hitching or flickering. Can't believe windows DVD player requires me to update or manually install anything for it to work... that's pretty pathetic.
