Question Windows Eating All My GPU

Whenever I am playing Overwatch or any other game, my game performance often goes down from like 70 FPS to 10 FPS; this continues for over 3-7 seconds, and the FPS returns to its expected, smooth value.

I checked with the Task Manager and found that the following two processes are active and utilizing my GPU whenever the FPS goes down the drain.

1. csrss.exe
2. dwm.exe

My laptop comes with the following specifications.

1. Intel Core i7-7700HQ
2. Nvidia GTX 1060 (Max-Q) - 6 GB
3. 16 GB RAM

The average temperature while gaming is around 70C and the idle temperature is somewhat in the 40s C.

Yes, I ran a MalwareBytes test and it returned a clean report. I don't think that the processes are rogue.

Control Panel > System Security > Power options
If its in High-performance mode change that to balanced and see if that helps

The google chrome looks to be running alot of ram and from the pic some thing which we can see.

Thank you for your response. I don't believe that Chrome is being problematic here, I have enough RAM to run the game and browser together.

However, today, I will keep my Chrome closed and look at how it goes.

After changing to Balanced mode and keeping Chrome closed, the FPS did not drop that much today. It was a great improvement.

I'll disable Aero tomorrow and let you know.
