Windows Explorer sort bug

I found this while creating cad files for Boston gearboxes. The sort (edit: by Name) bug works with anything named as the following. I recreated it with some dummy text files.

HF721-B5.txt
HF721A-B5.txt
HF721B-B5.txt

Sorts by Name (edit)

HF721A-B5.txt
HF721-B5.txt
HF721B-B5.txt

I'm not sure where or how to report the bug to MS just so they know. I doubt there would be any real rush to fix it. In the mean time its humourous.

Maybe one of the guru's knows how this could be even be a sorting error. Its been a LONG LONG time since I wrote any code but I remember sorting operations being very basic based on characters asci code. There wasn't much to mess up.

How it sorts depends on how you sort it.

Are you sorting by name, date created, size or type?

Sorry. Sort by Name, ie alphabetical.
