Hey guys,

I've always preferred this site out of all the other websites whenever I get a software or hardware problem, and as long as I use the correct search terms, I could always find what I seek and for that I'd like to thank everyone who made this place what it is today.

Now to my other major goal for being here since I couldn't word it properly to search for an answer myself:

Above is a screenshot of what I see when I browse my 8GB USB.
And below is what I always see when I browse my HDD/SSD folders.

My question is how do I get rid of the "file type" thing as seen and outlined by a red rectangle in the first screenshot? I find it uncomfortable and would like to see the same layouts when I browse my USB.

ps. It didn't look like this on the same USB before but I've recently formatted it from FAT32 to NTFS and from an Allocation unit size of 4096 bytes to 80?? bytes. Did the formatting do something?

Thanks.

Solution
You've got "Group by type" enabled in the window showing contents of USB drive.

Open window showing USB contents.
Click "View" in the menu bar, go down to "Group by....>>", choose "None".

Dang, I feel stupid for going straight for the Folder View instead of checking the Right Click menu.

Thanks for answering my tiny question.

Btw, could there be some sort of shortcut key method that I've probably accidentally triggered that changed this "Group by" settings?
