Windows failed to start. Startup repair not working.

Last night my pc did an uodate and shut down. Woke up and went to start it but it won't boot up at all. I've built this pc and it's my only pc. I don't have the install cd any more after I moved...I have tried the following:

Tried Startup Repair. Says it cannot repair automatically.

Tried a restore to yesterday. Doesn't work, get the exact same error.

Tried "last known good config". Doesn't work, same error message.

Tried using an old windows xp install disc to install Windows xp. Get a bsod and won't work.

Please help me, I don't know own what to do to fix this issue!

Your only real options is to get a Windows 7 setup media and try a clean setup with that. XP should have worked but if it's newer hardware I have seen it crash on that.
