"Good" morning,
I performed a clean installation I'd windows yesterday after having some OS issues. Before performing the clean setup, I ran the western digital diagnostics tool to ensure the drive was still performing optimally to exclude the hardware cause of failure.
I managed to install the OS again but after booting up I get the error 0xc0000034 saying that my BCD is missing some required information and I should use the recovery tools on my DVD to fix the latter.
I then insert my Win 8.1 disk and reboot, nothing: same error. I am now stuck in this endless loop.. I have been having issues of all sorts with booting up this past week so I went ahead and ordered a new WD blue 1TB drive.
Can anyone tell me how I can either access the command prompt to repair the BCD or a possible fix to the problem? MOBO is Asus Z87 Pro, I can access the UEFI but nothing else.
Thanks a lot.
