Hello all,
I have an inquiry, should there be ''explorer.exe'' into ''shell:common startup'' folder or any other folder? My system fails to enter explorer on startup.
I have an asus N551JM Laptop on Windows 10 (2004 version) and fully updated.
Any ideas?

Regarding your question, as a first troubleshooting option, please do the below [thanks to S.Sengupta]:

Open Command Prompt as Admin and type:

sfc /scannow and hit Enter.

In the elevated command prompt, copy and paste the commands below and hit Enter:

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Make sure windows update has installed all the updates.

If the above is not working:

If the above doesn't work either, let's try this workaround [thanks to Joy-Qiao]:

- Perform a clean boot...

does it show a blank desktop with a taskbar?

its possible windows is waiting on hardware to respond and doesn't load desktop. See if unplugging any extra usb or speakers resolves the problem. I used to get a blank desktop and taskbar at startup but it was my speakers not responding at startup that caused the problem.

After the main screen with the avatar of the account, the screen goes black. I can only enter to windows with after ctrl+alt+del and choosing ''start a new task'' where i type ''explorer'' and then I enter.
