Hello, I have a strange issue with this laptop. Windows 10 randomly freezes like once a 10 hours or so. I can't move the cursor, ctrl+alt+del don't work. I manually shut down and restart it.

Asus Q550LF with a N550LF motherboard.
Windows 10 pro x64.

Drivers updated.

It did not happen after I installed Windows 10, it started like 3 month after that.

The same happens when a Starcraft 2 game is loading. My battle.net post:

Hi,

Random lockups are caused by overheating when it comes with laptops. Another device that can cause lockups would be the HDD of your laptop. Here are some steps that may help.
- Do clean the inside of your laptop, make sure there's no dust of debris stopping the fans from spinning freely. Apply a new thermal paste on both GPU and CPU to help with the cooling.
- If this will not work I would suggest getting a cooling pad that should be a big help in cooling it down.
- When it comes with your games locking up or freezing it can also be a cause of overheating.
- Do try and run Windows Update and make sure all important updates are installed.
- Make sure to update the graphics card driver as well with the latest one there is.

The strange thing is when I am playing high graphics games it doesn't freeze, Sometimes when the laptop is on idle, it freezes... so it should not be a heat problem, the CPU or GPU max temp I saw was 80 °C...

Thanks for your answer, I cleaned the laptop after this post, memtest gives all OK and I am gonna change the SSD next week.
