Hi guys,
I build my new pc a week ago
I9 10900k ASUS Maximus XII Extreme H150i 360mm aio 32gb 3600 CL16 RTX 3090 FTW3 Ultra EVGA 2x nvme ssd 1tb HX1000i
Overall it’s been running great however I have had 2 mysterious lock ups. The first was a total freeze whilst browsing the web no mouse no control alt delete had to hard reset to fix. The second was similar whilst watching a jay two cents video, windows froze but audio continued (could still hear jay in the background) and could move the mouse but couldn’t click anything or control alt delete again had to reset.
Has anyone got any ideas what is going on here. After it happened I realised I didn’t install the chipset or SATA drivers from the ASUS site. Could that have been the problem and I have since installed them?
I have played games on the pc for 8-10 hours over the past week with not a hitch so it’s very strange.
Hopefully it’s not the GPU
Sorry for the essay
Many thanks

Can you check and see which BIOS version you're on for your motherboard? Which version of Windows 10 are you working with? Is the PSU brand new or was it recycled from an older build? You're advised to download all necessary drivers for your platform onto a pen drive. Once the OS is installed, you're suggested to install all drivers; Audio, Chipset, MEI, USB, Storage/SATA, GPU in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator.
