Hello tech-savy's at TH.
Today, my PC have begun acting strangely (by the way, I'm running Windows 7 64-bit, pretty standard). Whenever I attempt copying files over to my backup drive, Windows crashes/freeze.
So here's what happens:
I grab my files/folders, drag 'em over to my HDD. The transfer window, or whatever it's called, pops up. Then, the machine freezes.
I seem to be able to move smaller files and folder without problem, but once I move bigger onces (larger than 200-300 MB), it won't work. Furthermore, large-folders or files will cause a freeze immediately, whereas smaller ones will run the transfer a bit, stop, and then after a few seconds, the screen freeze. So those are the details, don't know if they help.
My HDD is a regular (not "green") Seagate, 3TB.
Any suggestions guys?
