Hi,
I am facing a weird but serious problem with my display that I will try to explain as
best as I can (since I am not good at explaining stuffs in English :pfff: ).

My PC configuration:
CPU: Intel Core i5-3330
GPU: Asus GeForce GTX 660 (2GB DDR5 OC Edition)
MB: Intel DZ75ML-45K
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 2X4GB (1600MHz)
OS: Windows 8.1 Pro (64-bit).

The problem is like this:
Yesterday I moved my rig to clean the table where it was on. I replaced in back on it's
place and push the power button, but when the Windows loading screen was showing I heard
a 'Plick' like sound from my HDD
and the windows loading screen just freezes up (I have
one 500GB Seagate Barracuda for OS only and one 1TB Seagate Barracuda for file storage.).
I had these problem before so I just shut down the machine and tighten up the 500GB
HDD's SATA data and power cable and power on the PC.. this time I didn't heard any
'Plick' sound from my PC but window showed me the windows repair screen.. as you know
Windows repairing process is a tedious and long process, so I ignored it and reinstall
Windows 8.1 Pro. Everything was working fine...
One by one I installed all the necessary
drivers on freshly installed OS, but when I tried to install NVidia's latest non-BETA
(v337.88) graphics driver, as the driver was installing the display went it's original
resolution (1600X900) and then THE WHOLE SYSTEM JUST FREEZES AND RESTART without the display driver installed. And what I mean by 'whole system' in not only the display, but
also the keyboard and mouse too.. those two devices even lost their power connection..
I tried to remove the GPU and hook up the monitor data cable to motherboard's dsplay
port then try to install the Intel's graphics driver but there was the same problem...
Please tell me what is going on ??? !!!.. how can I fix this problem ??? 🙁

Yes I formatted it but I don't think the HDD is broken (however I have a lose SATA power port on that drive) because if it was, my OS would not be running at all. It is running fine, it just freezes when I am trying to install the graphics driver.. I check both HDDs using Seagate's own SeaTools and both are fine and healthy.

I just forgot about this thread. I actually solved this problem on my own. So, I any one is suffering from this problem, here is the solution:

1) Shut down your PC and pull out the power cable.
2) Open the side panel.
3) Find the CMOS battery and unmount it.
4) Plug in the power cable and start the PC (it will give you warning about the CMOS battery).
6) Shut down your PC and pull out the power cable again.
7) Mount in the CMOS battery.
8) Plug in the power cable and start the PC.
9) Reinstall the Graphics Driver.

This method worked for me. Hopefully it will work for you too.
