[SOLVED] Windows has detected an IP conflic

There isn't a wifi card on my PC so I used my laptop to bridge WIFI and Local Area Connection cable. Add then I connected the cable from laptop to the PC. It's working but sometimes giving this message.

Is the subnet on the wired network different than the WIFI (192.168.2.x vs 192.168.1.x)?
How does the PC get an IP address, (DHCP vs static)?

I would assume the static IPs are unique, so I don't have an explanation.

What other devices are on this network. That message means exactly what it says, there is another device on that network with the same IP address.

Not 'strange' at all. You have 2 hardcoded IP addresses, likely within the DHCP range, which conflict with the same addresses being given to other devices on the network. This is dead simple conflict resolution.

Choices:

1. Configure EVERY device on the network for DHCP
2. Hardcode EVERY address on the network
3. Assign hardcoded addresses outside the DHCP range
4. Set DHCP reservations for devices that require fixed IP addresses, then configure for DHCP on all devices (assumes that your DHCP server supports reservations)

Choose one.
