After having installed windows 10 on a Dell T3600 two weeks ago, the computer suddenly crashed today. The computer will no longer boot to the login in screen and upon checking the issue further I found the the system no longer recognizes the internal hard drive. I cannot boot the computer in safe mode and attempts to restore the system to a previous date have all failed; either leading to the computer crashing again or an error message due to CRC (error message 0x0800700170). Any ideas on how to solve this issue?
As stated, your only option is replacement. Disks fail, and if you had important data that you didn't back up, you know know how important it is to back up data. I would highly recommend getting ALL of the following:
1) Samsung 850 EVO 256GB as your OS/program disk. ~$90 on sale
2) An HDD the size of your current HDD (or larger if you want). ~$70-200 depending on size
3) An external disk of the size of the disk in 2)
Once a week or so, make sure all the data is backed up, and hide the external disk in a fireproof safe somewhere.
