My problem started when I bought a new motherboard..
First, the specs:
Asus 970 Pro Gaming/Aura Motherboard
8GB DDR4 Corsair 1600MHz RAM
AMD FX 8320 8-core 3.5GHz Black Edition CPU
850w Corsair Power Supply
Radeon HD 7850 GPU
1TB WD 7200RPM HDD
Asus External dvd/cd
I just recently purchased the 970 pro motherboard, I installed all the drivers needed, but *everything* was running much slower. I figured it was because of the mismatched drivers were conflicting between the old/new motherboard. I elected to wipe everything clean (I needed to anyway), and reinstall Windows. I was running Win10, but have disks for both Win7 and Win8.1. I've reformatted multiple hard drives in the past, so I didn't think anything too serious would happen. I get all the way to the partition selection window for the drivers, and when I go to install, "No signed device drivers were found. Make sure the installation media contains the correct drivers, and then click, OK."
I've spent the last few days troubleshooting the issue, reformatting, changing BiOS options for the hdd and boot modes, used command prompt, downloaded from Microsoft the correct .iso file and made a bootable USB, and I've even tried installing Windows on my hdd using my roommates desktop. The only thing I haven't done, is tried to install Windows on a different hdd..
Tried a clean installation with both Win7 and Win8.1 had the same results.
I'm about to have an aneurysm.. Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
