If you have a newer computer that has UEFI on the motherboard (anything in the last 3-4 years) which you can enable 'Secure Boot', then I'd recommend using GPT. You can't take advantage of the boot performance increase unless you go with GPT. That being said, we're talking about a boot time difference of 5-10 seconds at the most.
