Windows installation is stuck

I'm using an installation disk to install windows 10 to my computer but at 'Getting files ready for installation' it gets stuck at 83% then after being stuck there for a while gives me an error message and cancels the installation. I have retried several times but the problem always occurs.
The odd thing is I've installed windows on this hard drive before using this disk and didn't have any problems.

Is it possible the disk became defective while in storage? Might try making a new installation disk.
After that, try running a disk check on the drive. Might have developed a bad sector.

I have had these issues before and it came down to the windows installer. I downloaded a different win to usb tool and it worked. if it still dosnt work assuming you may have ehhhemm borrowed a copy online then you just need to download a different one.
