My headphones recently just started getting static in them and I cant figure out why. I've checked with a different aux cable, I've tried a different headphones port, i tried updating the headphone drivers, and ive shut off all of the enhancements. Nothing has helped after all this so it must be windows causing it somehow.

Solution
Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information,

Include make and model headphones and connectivity information.

Try your headphones on another known working (no static) audio device. Computers and other audio devices....

Try other known working (no static) headphones on your computer.

Key is to determine if the static issue stays with your PC or follows the headphones.
