I currently have an Asrock x370 board with 4 sticks of 4gb ram in it. Two sticks are hyperx and two are random sticks that i picked up second hand. It is running on the latest bios and the motherboard recognizes all 4 sticks for a total of 16gb. Cpuz recognises 16gb of memory, yet windows only recognises 8gb.

Im not sure what the problem is. Before i updated the bios, windows recognised all 16gb but locked half of it as "hardware reserved" and any attempts i made to fix it didn't work.

Is there any way that I can make windows recognize the other 8gb? Its obviously a problem in windows if the motherboard recognises it?

Any help is appreciated
