[SOLVED] Windows & is showing incorrect Free Space.

Hi,
My D:\ Disk Drive is of; "30.0 GB" & the files that are in it make up total of;"14.4". That makes 30.0-14.4 GB=14.6 GB disk Space but windows shows its just 10.5 GB. Why 5GB of space not showing up? The first obvious thing was to check if there was any hidden files. Yes, There was but just of 15 MB. Sometime when torrent is downloading some file it covers that space before even the download is finished, So is there anything being download? No, Nothing is being downloaded. I checked "Create a restore point" to see if Windows is using that space for Restore point but It wasn't. I don't have any idea why that space is being covered up?

A drive labeled as "30GB" is read in Windows and elsewhere as ~27GB.
It is the same space, just different reporting units.

Plus, what you are seeing there is NOT everything on the drive.

Windirstat is supposed to show you exactly what are the files on your D: and how much space they take.

This file is normally on your OS drive but since your OS drive only has 2GB left the pagefile needs to be on another drive.

The pagefile is a reserved portion of a hard disk that is used as an extension of random access memory (RAM) for data in RAM that hasn't been used recently. It can be read from the hard disk as one contiguous chunk of data and thus faster than re-reading data from many different original locations.

That file needs to stay there or you need to clean some space on your C: and set up the pagefile back on the OS drive with the Windows 10 virtual memory settings.

You should really think about getting more storage.
20GB for OS drive? That's just ridiculous. For normal OS operation you need at least 3x more space (better 5x more).

Yes, My old Hard Disk was causing System Freezes & I had to remove it (I created a thread for that too. I didn't know what was going on?). Due to little space I had to install windows 7. Since, there is lock-down all over here. The computer markets are closed too. So, I will get it soon.
