Windows isnt recognising all my ram but the bios and hwinfo is.

My motherboard is a ga x79-ud3
My new ram is HyperX HX318C10FBK2/8 FURY 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) DDR3 1866 MHz
My new CPU is I7 3930k.

Hello, I upgraded my pc and windows isn't recognizing my 8gb ram only 4gbs.
I saw someone had this issue but they didn't say how they fixed it.
Any help would be appreciated.

What version of windows are you currently running? Is it 32-bit or 64?

Just on a wild chance you didn't do this...
When you go to leave the BIOS...save the BIOS on exit.

Don't change anything. When you go to exit....do a save. It will usually ask you.

Microsoft support wanted me to reset my whole pc.

Have you tried running the system with only one stick? It is possible you received a faulty kit. Also, have you tried running them in different slots? What hardware did you upgrade from?

I tried but the pc won't boot unless ram is in a certain spot it doesn't post
