Hello.I recently installed a new HDD (old one failed) but in order to take the HDD holder out i had to take my GPU out. I reinstalled it and noticed one of the 2 pin connectors on the 6+2 was not latching correctly (i thought this might have something to do with graphic glitches i was experiencing before taking it out) so i replaced it with a new one. I have both 6+2 PCIE connectors plugged directly into the PSU. I reinstalled Windows but even after installing the latest AMD Catalyst Control Centre it still lists my GPU as Standard VGA Adapter. Also one of the 3 fans(the closest to the back of the case) is not spinning. I reinstalled the GPU again but still the same problem.Checked PCIE connectors,no problems apparently. I have a Corsair 750 W PSU btw. Please help!

I also tried installing it onto another GPU slot on the MOBO (second one, originally it was installed to first slot) and nothing changed. Now running with the second slot i can't even set resolution to the monitor's native resolution (2560x1440,i have Dell U2713HM) and Dell Display Manager won't even recognize the monitor.I'm starting to think my Mobo might be faulty (might have caused the HDD probelms too) because the GPU is only approx. 1 year old and didn't have this problem before i had a problem with my HDD.

Did you trace the wires for the back fan? Did anything get unplugged? Does the fan spin freely with your finger providing the power? You may have a dead / worn out fan. That could be the root cause of your graphics glitches. (components overheating)
