Question Windows Losing Connection To NAS

Hi folks.

My one laptop occasionally loses the connection to my NAS. I have to open file explorer, click the NAS and when it prompts me to login it comes up with an old user name. I have to click 'other options' and enter my new user name and password. And yes, I tick the box that says remember credentials.

It works fine for a few days after that.

First, how do I get my PC to forget the old credentials? Second, why would I be losing the connection when 3 other PCs are fine?

Thanks!

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.

How are laptop and NAS connected to the network? Wired, wireless?

Verify that the laptop is using only one network adapter. Either wired or wireless. Not both at the same time.

If the connectivity is being lost every few days then take a look in Reliability History and Event Viewer. Either one or both tools may be capturing some error code, warning, or even some related informational event when NAS connectivity is lost.
