Question Windows Mail keeps wanting to fix deleted account

I had a created an outlook account as my ISP was shutting down their email service and have had nothing but trouble with it Microsoft kept tell me it needed fixing and sending me codes ,so in the end I deleted the account from my mail system .Now I keep getting messages to fix the account and if you follow up you get an error "something went wrong "or words to that effect
Is there a way to get them to stop sending these messages?
