Hi,
two questions. Isn't Windows Me DOS based (update of Win95 really?) Was arguing with a friend, and he claims ME doesn't use DOS. Also, why is Win XP in teh 95, 98 section? Shouldn't it be in teh win2K section?

You're right. ME is just a glorified 98. It still runs on DOS, but you can't boot into DOS without hacking it. Supposedly, ME runs faster because they took out the extraneous 16 bit compatibility code. It felt just like 98SE to me, except for the pretty Win2K interface. I also agree that XP should be combined with the 2K forum, it's not even close to a 9x OS. Who the hell decided this?

Windows XP bridges the gap between the two versions of Windows so XP belongs in both groups really.
