Hi all I am getting ready to purchase a new computer. Im having
trouble deciding which operating system I want. I did pick up a couple
of books from the Library. I am still a windows 98 user let me say up
front. Well anyways after doing a little homework, I am surmizing that
Windows Media Center is primarily if you want to add your TV to the
mix. I have no desire to do that and maybe never will. To me
computing is computing and Tv is Tv but that is just me. I have a very
very nice entertainment setup already so that is my reason for the
bent. Anyways if any of you could let me know what the primary reasons
for either would be I would very much appreciate it. It looks to me
like windows xp handles Pics, Videos, Dvds, just fine. I will be
getting hold of third party software for those tasks at any rate
anyways. Well anyways I would appreciate hearing your experiences and
opinions. Thanks very much in Advance....Andy
