Windows Media Player Crash

Today evening, when I decided to play a song from one of my folders,
The Media Player just stopped responding.
No error messages, just unable to click on anything and the cursor was replaced with the loading animation.

Tried using the troubleshooter and didn't work.
Said they resetted my settings but of course nothing improved.
Still the same problem.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Does this happen when you play anything in media player?

In the media player, go to Help - check for updates.

Something you can try: go to Control Panel, Programs and Features and look for Windows Essentials. Select option to repair (even though media Player isn't included in that package).

If the problem doesn't go away, you can download VLC media player, for example.

Never mind it worked again once I rebooted my computer. Weird.
I'll download VLC as a standby.

Thanks for your help
