Used to when using windows media player whenever I started it it would start playing something at the same size as I left it last time I watched a video. Now every single time I start watching a new video file it starts out in a little windowed box like 3 inches by 3 inches and I have to expand it out by dragging it out.

I reloaded my pc and now it wont keep the size I like it at, is there is a option or something Im missing? Because right clicking and selecting the "fit to player" options dont do squat for me.

Ok.. did you complete a upgrade installation...? this MWP opening small feature comes from windows xp.. if you have upgraded from xp > 7 it would explain why this is happening. If you complete a upgrade it will look like 7 but operate like xp, because allot of the configuration files are left behind to make the installation quicker.

Yes I did an upgrade. I bought the upgrade because it was cheaper. So recently I loaded xp wiping the drive and turned around and used the upgrade for it.

How do I delete config files or whatever?

I would try un-installing Windows Media Player from the add or remove programs... and then re-install it from here:

Link: (Cnet Download)

http://download.cnet.com/windows-media-player/

And then complete a windows update (including optional)... this SHOULD reset the windows configuration so it's the official win7 WMP, and use the standard settings... although I don't play with Upgrades for this reason so I could be incorrect.

Good Luck.. < Vote Best Answer :D
