Windows media player problems with windows 7

Hello,
I'm using Windows 7 on a new computer. When I play DVD's I can hear all the sounds except the character's speaking! This happens no matter which program I use to play the DVD (Windows Media Player, Jet Audio, etc.

How can I correct this problem?

Try using the VLC media player
