No, but it really isn't a big loss. Free programs like VLC Player are much better are have better compatibility than WMP.

Just watch the installer to make sure you don't get any unexpected programs or toolbars. It's virus free, but tye do include extra things, similar to Adobe...easy to opt out.

Yes, Windows Media Player will remain in Windows 10. Haven't heard anything about it being updated (so still version 12, just as with Windows 8.1). Be advised that DVD playback will be going away though, so you will need third party tools like VLC Player to do that if required. Audio and most other video files will still play though.
