Question Windows Movie Maker free older version.

Hi, I have just downloaded the older free version of windows movie maker to my windows 10 laptop. I have edited out one clip and saved the project. Now my problem is that the video clips are not in sequence anymore. Is there any way of restoring the video to get the right sequence back, short of going through a clip by clip to drag to the proper place? This would be a very tedious chore. Is there another way to fix it without also restoring the unwanted and edited out clip? Any suggestions you have would be very much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Short of restoring the previous state of the project - I doubt there is automatic way to read your mind.
