windows movie maker not detecting capture device in windows 7

I have my vcr hooked up to my new computer(windows 7)via an Easycap video capture device. when i try to capture the video from my vcr, i can hear the sound on my computer but cannot see any video. I get a message saying that wmm does not detect capture device. BTW i am using the xp version of wmm. I can capture with the same wmm version on my old computer that has windows xp professional installed. I actually transferred the fileswith the xp version from my old pc to new pc. The wmm works on my new pc but is not capturing from the device. can someone help me with this issue. would appreciate it.

Get software and drivers for Windows 7. This is the best advice you're going to get here, since you have a Windows 7 problem and posted in the XP forum.
