Question Windows not booting after unlocking cpu.

So i tried unlocking an amd athlon ii x3 455 thru msi bios, i unlocked it and when i restart the pc it says windows failed to load a file is missing and it tells me to reinstall the windows.
is the 4th core faulty?
I reset the bios now, but the 4th core wouldve helped me.

There's a reason why one of the processor's cores were locked...and that's due to that very core being faulty or not being of better yield when compared to the other cores. You might want to read through this thread;

I've been running a phenom ii x4 B55 even since I had the AMD Athlon II X3 455 unlock to that core everything was good until I tired to install windows 7 64-bit.I though it was the BIOS that's not the case it looks it must have been the CPU been unlock and one reason or another the installation...
