There was a power cut since then my pc is not booting up.
The bios is opening and my hard-disk is also showing up in it.
But windows is not booting up.
I have already tried resetting bios by taking out the cmos battery.
But it didn't work.

I opened Ubuntu from live cd.
Then headed over to file explorer the hard disks were available there .. all partitions were showing up.
But Ubuntu was not mounting them and giving the common NTFS error.
Ao I ran the NTFS fix command .. the the hard disks started showing up in Ubuntu.. all the data was there .
So no data loss.
I don't understand what the problem is.
Please help.

Is there a problem with the bootloader?

Hi there Anmolsri150,

As you can access your data under Ubuntu, then you should really back it up.

What do you mean by not booting up? Do you get some sort of an error message?

My suggestion would be to attach the drive with different cables to another port, so you can rule out a possible connection related issue.
If the problem persists, you can run start up repair. You have an OS CD right?
