Windows not detected on HDD after RAM upgrade and CMOS reset

Since this problem doesn't seem to be relegated to a single component, I just decided to pick the one I thought fit best.

Anyway, after putting in a new 4GB stick of RAM and resetting the CMOS (removal/reinsertion of battery, no jumpers), it passes POST, but then it fails to boot Windows. I get a black screen that says:

Marvell 88SE91xx Adapter - BIOS version 1.0.0.1025.
PCIe x1 5.0Gbps
Mode: PassThru ANCI
Disks Information:
No hard disk is detected!

The screen then says:

Reboot and Select proper Boot device
or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key

So now I restart and go into the BIOS. It detects both of my HDD's just fine, and I honestly am not sure whether they were set to IDE or AHCI mode, but I have tried both to no avail.

Is it possible that through my CMOS reset that I may have inadvertently wiped my primary HDD? Because when I run the OS disc Startup Repair, it can't detect any active Windows boot partitions, and when I go to "repair your computer" -> "Load Drivers" and see the directory listing, it shows my primary HDD as having 931 GB free of 932 GB. How in blazes did this happen?!

Mobo: ASUS P6X58D Premium
CPU: Core i7 950
GPU: EVGA GTX 570
RAM: 10GB Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1600
OS: Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate

Also: I tried it with the new RAM removed, same thing happened. I tried resetting my CMOS again. Nothing happened.

What the cuss? No idea how, but I fixed it. I unhooked every drive except the one I know has a Windows Boot Partition, fired up the BIOS, inserted the Windows 7 DVD, got the same black screen message, and then it loaded just fine. Then after it loaded, I see it installed the SATA controller drivers I was apparently missing for some reason. And all it took was about 7-12 restarts.

All right, solved. Close, please.
