Windows not found but drive is

A few weeks ago my computer stopped being able to boot. The bios recognizes the drive, and when mounted in Linux, everything can be accessed and the files are completely intact, but the computer will not boot from the drive, and windows recovery tool does the same thing (it can find the drive but not access it). At this point I'm not really sure what the issue is. Any ideas?

What is the exact message that comes up on the screen? Did the drive mode get changed in the BIOS? Need some better details about the issue, few weeks is a long time to sit there with issues, what did you try already? System specs?
