Windows not recognising non-RAID drives

I've seen a lot of questions surrounding this issue, but no-one seems to have quite the same issue as me: I have set up RAID0 with two SSDs and successfully installed Windows 7 on the new array (installed drivers etc). Now that I've got everything set up though, I've reattached my storage volumes (a couple of 2tb Sata HDDs) along with a brand new 1tb Sata HDD. All of these worked fine before setting up RAID, and I have exhausted the obvious options - the two slightly older 2tb drives will not show at all in Computer Management>Storage>Disk Management, but the newer 1tb drive shows fine?!

My Setup:
SLI Krait 970a Mobo (Set up with Legacy onboard RAID)
32gb Corsair Vengeance 1866mhz RAM
AMD FX8350 8-core 4.0ghz processor
2gb Nvidea Graphics card

I've set up RAID as per the Mobo's manual, however can not for the life of me manage to get these two hard drives recognised for some reason?! Thanks in advance guys...

Were the storage volumes in a previous raid?
Were they bootable?
Are they visible in the raid screens? you may need to pass them thru as non-raid drives.

Hi - the drives were never in a RAID array before - I literally used them as a My Documents/Downloads drive and storage for photos (I'm a photographer so have terrabytes of photos). They've never had an operating system on them but not had a problem before I set up RAID - I believe from memory that they were set up as active, primary partitions

If you don't have AMD RaidXpert installed then Enter the raid setup menu and see if they are listed there please.
I suspect they need to be passed thru the sata controller (which is now a raid controller)

I don't have that installed but do have the RAID drivers installed. The devices do show up in my legacy RAID setup before I get to BIOS - if I need to run them through that, do they need to be set up as RAID ready?? Guessing that will mean the data on them will be wiped too so I'll need to back that up first?!

Yes, If you value the data and its not already backed up elsewhere though I've never had problem with raid ready mode, I've never put on a filled drive so I don't know for sure.

Alternately you could install a cheap secondary sata controller and not worry about going thru the raid controller. If you go this route, setup the controller first then power down and attach the drives.
