Its just that I can turn it on or off but it doesnt show the name of the connection nor its password ,which from what I know, they should be somewhere on the screen. Not sure that I understand your post.....
The hotspot would not show your name and password. You must enter the name and password.
Are you saying that the hotspot is not prompting you to enter a name and password via some entry screen/window?
More information needed.
If possible take the applicable screenshots and post the screenshots here via imgur (www.imgur.com).
Im trying to use my PC's connection as a hotspot. I dont know if I have to set it up though. (i dont have any idea why you got an "adult website" warning, sorry anyways)Caution:
When I initially clicked the above imgur link I got a warning about an "adult website".
Backed out, tried a second time. Same results. Third time - no issues....

Are you trying to use a hot spot or set up a hotspot?
Yes, the only difference is that im on win 10 and im using ethernet. Another thing i didnt mention is that the first time i went in the Mobile Hotspot tab, there was my PC's hotspot name and password. When I tried to turn on the hotspot it immediately went back to off. I closed the settings window then went back there and now I was able to turn on my hotspot without problems but now the hotspot's name and passwords dissapeared. There isnt also any wifi connection with my PC's name when I try to connect to it with my phoneAre you trying to do something like this:

I searched thoroughly in Google & some forums and from what I found I must have a “sharing” tab in my network adapter’s properties and there I have to check “allow other network users to connect through this computer’s internet connection” but I don’t even have a “sharing” tab. My guess is that I may need a wifi adapter to use my pc as a hotspot? Are you trying to do something like this:

Are you sure that your computer's wifi is fully functional? If you disconnect your ethernet cable does your computer's wifi take over and work perfectly? It sounds like your wifi may have become corrupted, perhaps a driver failure and the computer doesn't recognize that you have wifi available for the hotspot so it won't provide the connection info. Normally if your wifi is working properly the "Share my connection from" tab would show "wifi" but yours does not.I searched thoroughly in Google & some forums and from what I found I must have a “sharing” tab in my network adapter’s properties and there I have to check “allow other network users to connect through this computer’s internet connection” but I don’t even have a “sharing” tab. I’m sure it may sound stupid but do I need a wifi adapter to use my computer as a hotspot? My PC never had WiFi, I always used EthernetAre you sure that your computer's wifi is fully functional? You will need something to broadcast the wifi signal to other devices. Yes, a wifi adapter does that. But I am confused; the fact that you are able to access the hotspot menu implies that windows thinks you already have some sort of wifi capability. Otherwise in a pure ethernet situation the hotspot menu would not even show. I have an ethernet computer where the wifi is turned off in bios and I don't even see hotspot in that Windows 10 menu. Your windows installation may be damaged somehow since it shows the hotspot menu. What is the make and model of your motherboard? Are you certain there are no wifi components on it?I’m sure it may sound stupid but do I need a wifi adapter to use my computer as a hotspot? My PC never had WiFi, I always used Ethernet
From what I know it does not. It’s an Asus B660 DS3H. I said in an earlier reply to someone else at first I was able to see my hotspot’s name and password on the screen but every time I tried to switch it on it immediately went back to off itself. After that I closed the settings window and went back there, now I was able to turn on or off my hotspot without any problems but the name and password somehow disappeared. So you will need to add a wifi adapter and appropriate driver for it.From what I know it does not. It’s an Asus B660 DS3H.
