Hi
I need help. I hink my problem maybe a lack of knowledge of WinNT
workstation.
i have a home network of Win98/XP/2000. Everything worked fine until i added
a WinNT workstation. I can see the other computers on the WinNt workstation
in network neighborhood. But i cannot see the WinNT on the WinNT computer
nor on any of the other computers. Furthurmore accessing the network on the
NT workstation is painfully slow. I also cannot get on the internet with the
NT machine, but gets it on all other machines (I am using a cable modem to
access the internet). I also note when i start WinNT machine, I get a
message that a service fail to start.
I did a ipconfig and get the following:

Host name.................................Ntstation
DNS server ...............................(the correct DNS)
Node Type.................................broadcast
NetBios scope ID........
IP routing enabled........................no
Wins Proxy enabled.....................no
NetBios resolution uses DNS.......no
Physical address..........................(my net card address)
DHCP enabled............................yes
IP address..................................(the correct IP address)
Subnet mask..............................255.255.255.0
default gateway........................(correct default gateway)
DHCP server..........................(correct DHCP)

Can someone tell me what may be the problem. All heph appreciated

Regards

Check in Event Viewer which service does not start. You may have to
re-install the service pack.
