yes I know this is the windows 10 forum but there is no forum for microsoft office...

I have a Microsoft Office 2007 copy on a CD, and Im building a new gaming PC, but it doesnt have a optical drive.
im installing windows 8.1 on it with future plans on upgrading to windows 10, so if that matters something, just tell me. is the 2007 version compatible with those two OS's?
I also have a laptop that does have a optical drive, so I had to ask you guys.
can I load the office CD in the laptop, move the files to a USB drive, and then install it on to my new rig?

I'll give you more details on what I have.
I have a box with 2 CD's (used to be 3) loaded with Microsoft Office Small Business that I bought a while back.
the third CD what used once, and I don't have it anymore.

sorry, I was wrong.
there are 2 CD's, one of them is called "disk 1" and the second one is called "disk 2" (go figure right?)
I used the first one of them to install office, and from what I know the licence is good for 3 computers.

if im good, then how do I install it?

if im wrong say so, this is what I think should happen:
I load the CD on the laptop, open a file, an Installer launches, and I install it to the root of the flash drive? after that I have no Idea What I need to do...
