Windows.Old A Threat?

Hey so I'm looking for some advice as i reinstalled my os because of viruses, but when reinstalling did not format. All has been good at the moment, but does the windows.old folder still have a virus in and is it a threat? asap help would be great.

Windows.Old is a deactivated operating system. You can remove it using disk cleanup.

CCleaner will also remove it, and plenty of other junk clogging up your PC.

my avg picked up nothing full scan and anti root kit so windows.old does not matter and can be deleted right?

AVG free is dire for detection. & yes,Windows.old can be safely deleted.
