Turns out I was ratted -_-. Followed the clean install I think correctly but yet there is still a windows.old folder I had some sort of rat/ info stealer on my old os so I clean installed yet the windows.old folder is there. As seen below there is another device there but that not my internal drive is it? Is that not the usb media drive? Was I supposed to delete it too cause the tutorial said not to. This may be irrelevant I read in the tutorial that it was subject to change but the second image window did not pop up so I didn’t get to click custom just went straight to third window

When using the Media Creation Tool, just select the target USB drive and let the tool itself format the drive you will use to install Windows from.

Delete ALL of the Disk 0 partitions. Then let Windows manage setting up the partitions it needs.

Did the first thing several times and the second thing aren’t I already doing that by just running the tool regardless of if I formatted it before hand

I’m a goat

No one will probably see this but what you want to do is boot into your installation media I forget if it’s the first or second window but you will see something along the lines of “use previous setup process” I forget the exact quote but then you just go through it like normal click custom delete all partition all that jazz and your done no more old windows.old

Not going to lie though am a bit nervous that it’s lying to me or something can’t fully trust this thing after a bug that critical can’t imagine not realizing that it didn’t actually clean install and getting more things stolen
