Windows on flash drive

Hello, I bought a flash drive so I could put my vm windows on it and have it portable but the problem is that is very slow.The drive is adata ue700 128GB.My 10 year old hardrive boots that vm windows faster and with crystal benchmark it shows less than 1mb/s 4k reads where on flash drives it shows about 4mb/s, that should make the the windows boot faster than on that old hdd(at least that what I thought when I bought it) but i`m very disappointed as it takes like 10-15 mins for windows to boot and if you want to open some programs you will end up having your tools ready in more than 30 mins where with that old hdd i`m ready for work in less than 5 mins.My ssd shows about 25mb/s on 4k reads and when I bought the flash drive I was excepting speeds somewhere between my old hdd and my ssd with usb 3. Please advise if I`m doing something wrong !!!

I don't think you're doing anything wrong. It's going to be slow.

but what I dont understand is why the hdd loads faster although it has lower 4k reads and lower sequential reads?
