A Akerhage Distinguished Aug 23, 2013 37 2 18,535 Apr 2, 2020 #1 Can anyone help me with this, my windows is eating memory on idle. I found some suspicious soundmodule.exe located in appdata/microsoft that is eating 2.5gb ram? Can this be some maleware? And is this process tree looking suspicious?

A Akerhage Distinguished Aug 23, 2013 37 2 18,535 Apr 2, 2020 #5 I did manually removed the soundmodule från appdata and from the register entry. So Sophos did not find anything more then "Mal/Generic-S " I will run a new scan now after restart. RAM is down to 14% now after a restart. Im guessing that 4-5GB RAM on idle is OK? Upvote 0 Downvote
