Windows on new motherboard

I am planning to buy a new motherboard for my machine. I need to know if I need to reinstall windows again after replacement. I will use my existing HDD.

Unfortunately I donot have a bootable Windows CD, and that makes me think twice before buying a motherboard.

People recommend to clean install windows after you switch motherboard/CPU. Personally I have changed 3 motherboards and 2 CPUs and have not reinstalled windows with zero problems.

You can get it to boot, but it can lead to issues and hurt your performance.
