Windows Phone 6.1 Upgrades

Have the HTC Touch 2 Pro and would want to put it back in use. Can barely connect to internet via wifi and so I would want to get links to updates I need to get online without massive latency. This phone carries an SD card and so I would hope to get such updates to my desktop then transfer to the SD card. Much thanks in advance for any guidance

the only upgrade that version of windows mobile would be minimal. you cannot upgrade to windows 7 or later

Much thanks for your timely reply. Regrettably, I am taken to a specific page where only IE9 is shown as the only option. Additionally, there are additional messages suggesting that there may be certificate issues, etc. Continued guidance sought
