windows photo viewer cannot open this picture either Windows Photo View doesn't support this file format , or you don't have the latest update to photo viewer .

I still cannot open the pictures and its stressin' me !

I've searched everywhere about this problem and none of it helpful . I'm so sad .

What type of files are you trying to look at?

If they are JPG files, they are either corrupted or are actually malware.
If they are RAW (cr2 or equivalent), then your software doesn't support your given camera. You can try using a free trial of Lightroom to convert them to view-able formats like JPG.
